How SchoolFinder by EdThingsApp ranks schools
Our "best schools" and "Top 10 / Top 5" lists help families build a shortlist quickly. They are editorial guidance — not a rating, an accreditation, or a guarantee of quality or results.
What goes into a ranking
- Editorial assessment — our team's review using publicly available information (board affiliation, track record, infrastructure, transparency).
- Profile completeness — how much verified, useful information a school's profile contains for parents (fees, class range, facilities, contact details, photos).
- Verification — whether the school has confirmed and maintains its own listing.
A published curated list takes precedence over the automatic ranking for that city. Featured placements are editorial and labelled as such.
What it does not measure
We do not currently rank on exam results, parent reviews, or any paid placement. A school cannot pay to rank higher.
Corrections
Listings are compiled from public sources and may contain errors. Use the enquiry form on any school profile to report a mistake. Schools can claim their profile to manage it directly.
